This reminds me of how infinity may also be found within, and how everywhere we look is a reflection of the infinite universe and all its beauty. As always, your posts are a beautiful reminder 💖.

Beautiful poetry, beautiful images and a beautiful perspective on life itself. Pointing out that making the choice to really see the glories of our world will make life better seems so simple and so true and if more people decided to do so would make us more joyful. Thank you. Have a beautiful day.

The Blake quote brought to mind this poem by the 1st c.BC Roman poet Catullus to his beloved whom he refers to as "Lesbia," in honor of Sappho, brilliant Greek female poet from the Isle of Lesbos.

7

Quaeris, quot mihi basiationes

tuae, Lesbia, sint satis superque.

Quam magnus numerus Lybissae harenae

lasarpiciferis iacet Cyrenis

oraculum Iovis inter aestuosi

et Batti veteris sacrum sepulcrum;

aut quam sidera multa, cum tacet nox,

furtivos hominum vident amores:

tam te basia multa basiare

vesano satis et super Catullo est,

quae nec pernumerare curiosi

possint nec malĀ fascinare linguĀ.

You ask, Lesbia, how many make-out sessions of yours may be enough and more [than enough] for me. As many as the great number of Lybian sands in fennel-bearing Cyrene [that] lie between the oracle of steamy Jupiter and the sacred tomb of old Battus; or as many as the many stars [that], when the night grows silent, look upon the furtive loves of humans: to kiss you so many kisses is enough and more for insane Catullus, [kisses] which nosy people can neither count nor bewitch with their evil tongue[s].

James... Thank you for sharing these images. William Blake is a favorite of mine too ..

Completely agree ... if we take the "time" to see the that in every ordinary detail of life .. there is that extraordinary waiting to be appreciated. 🌎✨️🌟

"...shaped by invisible laws." Was just reading (in Owen Barfield) that before we thought of "laws" the Greeks instead beheld "Forms."

Love your stuff!

I had the great pleasure of working on an IMAX film last century when the potential of electron microscopes were first being explored visually. The stunning butterfly wing, or insect eye. In my rusty memory though, they couldn't image living specimens due to the vacuum requirements. Is that still true?
